A man from Wood County, Texas, recently had to be taken to the hospital after suffering a heart attack during a bizarre run-in with a neighborhood pet. Dan Turner and his family claim that their neighbor's potbellied big got loose and began attacking Turner, pinning him to a wall and biting him, CBS affiliate KYTX reports.Although the Turners claim that it was Kyndall Wells' pet pig Tibby that is responsible, his owner is not so sure. In all the years that she has kept Tibby as a pet, the animal has never displayed any violent tendencies, and she thinks her neighbors may have confused him for something else.
"I think, honestly, if it was a pig that attacked him, it was an actual wild hog and he's blaming it on my pot-bellied pig," Wells told the news source.
While certainly not everyone is going to be the victim of a pig attack, similar incidents involving dogs are much more common. Individuals who live alongside an aggressive canine may want to buy pepper spray or another animal repellent. Such products can save a potential victim from injury and allow one to get to safety.
